The new version of the Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool has been designed to offer maximum versatility in the face of the many demands of mountaineering. Easy to handle and anchor, this wear-resistant ice axe is ideal for a wide variety of winter sports. The hydroformed shaft of Viper extends into the handle for strength and high-performance responsiveness. Our included Natural Pick offers greater wear resistance on tricky terrain. The adjustable FlickLock® that slides along the handle serves as a hand rest or auxiliary handle for ice and mixed climbing. The modular head makes it easy to change blades and choose between pick and hammer.
