Originally designed by our founder Barry Barr in 1991, it was created after Barry lost too many caps to the sea as they blew off his head while he worked as a commercial fisherman. Taking matters into his own hands, Barry combined a sturdy fabric with a nylon webbing strap to make a functional hat that would stay firmly on his head.
