Its sole technology HANWAG TubeTec Rock is specifically designed to meet the demands of mountaineering. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock midsole brings the very latest technological advancements. A soft PU is wrapped in a robust TPU shell to ensure comfort during ascents and descents, while providing exceptional performance on rock, ice, and snow. The flexible TPU "tube" protects the softer, shock-absorbing polyurethane section. The internal TPU ribs and reinforcements ensure the precision and stability of the sole. The outsole stands out with its Vibram Integral Light traction pattern, while the reinforced heel and time-tested Vibram Mont compound provide excellent traction during mountain descents. Additionally, the reinforced TPU climbing zone at the front of the sole offers perfect grip stability. What sets this crampon-compatible boot apart? The lower part of the upper is made of classic leather for a perfect fit - this is combined with a flexible collar made of highly abrasion-resistant polyamide reinforced with PU threads.
