The Makra Trek SF Extra Lady GTX is the ideal boot for longer hikes and multi-day excursions with a heavy backpack. What are its distinctive features? For this model, HANWAG uses their StraightFit Extra Last shape. It combines the generously wide toe box of the StraightFit Last, which allows the big toe to remain in a straight position, with extra space in the forefoot area, particularly in the sole area, coming from the Wide Last. This provides a good fit for those with a wider forefoot – or who want more space for their big toes. Despite the spacious toe box, the midfoot is still well supported to ensure perfect stability on tougher terrains. A secure fit at the front of the foot and good overall stability are also ensured by the optimised ghilly lacing that passes through textile loops up to the toe area. The HANWAG 2 Zone Lock with mechanical lace lock enhances the fit at the heel. Unlike traditional lace hooks, the mechanical lock stays fixed in place and cannot slip unless adjusted manually. The proven "Makra fit" hugs the foot for exceptional power transfer. As a result, the foot and the shoe form a unique unit from heel to toe. The StraightFit Extra Last is paired with a cushioning PU midsole. And the Vibram Trekking SF outsole with its large contact area ensures robustness and stability. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, this boot keeps your feet dry in wet conditions. The Perwanger leather upper is tough, breathable, and durable.
